Iran, Venezuela central banks ink MoU
Iranian and Venezuelan central banks signed a MoU to expand bilateral cooperation further
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro were present in the ceremony of signing the deal in Tehran-Caracas trade conference.
During the conference, Zarif said that Iranian public and private sectors’ officials are ready to expand bilateral ties with Latin American states.
He expressed the hope that signing the MoU would pave the way for mutual cooperation between Iran and Venezuela.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez taking part in the conference said Iran and Venezuela are two OPEC and NAM members which share common views in strategic matters.
“We are after boosting bilateral ties between the two countries,” he said.
