Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Reaches $202mln

The IME said that over 151,179 tons of various oil and petrochemical products, including 44,832 tons of bitumen, 50,398 tons of polymer products, 12,000 tons of VB, 7,000 tons of lube cut-oil, 21,338 tons of chemical products, 12,000 tons of sulfur and 3,610 tons of insulation with the total value of $88.7mln were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week.

Moreover, 79,442 tons of various commodities, including 69,707 tons of feed barley, 275 tons of sugar, 5,000 tons of wheat, 400 tons of rice and 860 tons of maize with total worth of $20mln were traded by the customers in the agricultural trading hall of IME in last week.

Also, 164,962 tons of metal and mineral products, including, 156,354 tons of steel products, 8,095 tons of copper and 90 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 3 tons of concentrates, 100 tons of coke and 320 tons of zinc with the total value of 91mln were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.

The IME was established on September 20, 2007 in accordance with article 95 of the new la of the Securities Market of the Islamic Republic of Iran and following the merger of the agricultural and metal exchanges of Tehran. The merger marked a new chapter in Iran capital market providing endless trading opportunities for the clients in and out of the country.
