Iran 7-Months Petchem Exports to Europe Double Year-on-Year

Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director of production control at National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said on Saturday that export of petrochemical products to Europe has more than doubled in the first 7 months of this year. 

He said the country's total petrochemical production is at a favorable state and has risen by 6% from a year ago.

Moreover, exports of petrochemicals have increased by 4% year-on-year.

He said NPC's strategy is to keep the price of products abreast with the Middle East and Far East markets in order to diminish price fluctuations. 

He said far eastern countries like China and India are Iran's top petrochemical customers. 

Iran is currently exporting petrochemicals to European destinations like western and eastern European countries like Germany, Hungary and the UK.

Iranian petrochemical plants supplied 28.7 million tons of products by the end of the month of Mehr (7th month in Iranian calendar, ended October 21), he added.
