Iran to Participate in Offshore Oil Projects of Europe, Africa

"Iran is planning to cooperate with foreign companies by exporting technical and engineering services as well as participating in joint projects abroad," Rahmani said.

He underlined that the IOEC has already signed agreements with a Dutch company to exchange equipment for projects if needed.

"Thanks to the fact that Iran possesses unrivaled equipment and experiences in offshore projects in the region, the country is quite capable of exporting such services to other countries," Rahmani added.

In relevant remarks in early November, Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Ali Kardor said Iranian and foreign investors can invest in more than 40 projects for development of oil and gas fields.

Kardor's message was read out at the 8th Khouzestan Oil Industry Equipment Fair.

He said the 40 investment projects had been specified by the NIOC.

He added that oil industry is the most effective and biggest industry worldwide, especially in Iran.

"Today, Iranian oil industry is in a special period of time for development and recourse to the oil production ceiling, and the pre-sanction quota as well as the key and mega oil projects, defining 10 groups of strategic and highly consumed oil industry goods for indigenization, transfer of the world's latest knowledge and technology have played an effective role in development of Iranian oil industry."
